Abstract

In the present study, we have investigated the effectiveness of existing methods in the evaluation of the heat capacity of uranium dioxide () by considering fractal structure of materials. The two well-known theoretical method were investigated in this work the advantages of accurate and efficient calculation results of heat capacities of uranium dioxide for wide temperature ranges. To conform to the effectiveness of the presented theoretical methods, we have compared the calculation results with the existing experimental data from the literature. Based on the fractality concept obtaining results in this work is quite useful in the determinating best theoretical approaches which are more convenient and meaningful for the evaluation of the heat capacities of uranium dioxide.  The approaches and results of this study can provide useful knowledge for accurate investigations of the physical properties of other nuclear fuels.
