We have investigated electron-ion-dust plasma, where dusts are stationary and charged, electrons have a follow Maxwellian istribution, ion species are heavy and considered dynamic in the plasma. Our study for the linear mode shows the impact on the linear characteristics of the fluid and influence by the various plasma parameters. Then we looked at the nonlinear mode and derived the Korteweg-deVries equation, which we solved using the basic integration approach, and find a significant modification of the soliton/shock structure owing to the dust number density. We found two types of nonlinear structures, compressive and rarefactive, indicating that dust polarity might affect the plasma’s nonlinear physics. Such observation is helpful in the space and laboratory plasma.
