New Trends of Operations Research and Applications
Since its emergence during the second world war, operations research has been key to problem-solving and decision-making. It has guided tactical, operational, and strategic decisions for governments, industries, banks, and private sectors, and shaped policies for infrastructure, healthcare, transport, finance, manufacturing, telecommunication, among other sensitive areas. Its success, which emanates from the rigor of its exact methods and the efficacy of its approximate methods for scaled real-life problems, has been further transformed by the availability of more powerful computing machines. This special issue covers advances in fundamental Operations Research problems, models, methodologies, and application domains, and highlights new directions of research.
We invite submissions of novel research articles for a forthcoming special issue of Kuwait Journal of Science on New trends of operations research and applications. This special issue is open to all novel research papers addressing theoretical as well as practical issues of emergent real-life applications of Operations Research, including compounded and combined problems.
Submission deadline extended
